28 Apr-May 1, 2006: What happens to fabulously kitschy, pop culture comets when time moves on? They buy a B&B in the Catskills Mountains of course! Say hi to Kate Pierson from the B52s who bought (for only $150,000) the Lazy Meadow and imaginatively renamed it "Kate's Lazy Meadow"... We stayed in room 3 - the space themed room... awesome.. All the bits & pieces in the rooms were bought by Kate when she was on tour or just pottering around stores... Great weekend of throwing the football, street hiking, whiffle ball, pancakes, Scrubs, lying in the middle of the soccer pitch in the sun, Channel Z, Roam...

April 23, 2006: The scene: Chatswood in Sydney at the Church where Jono & Lana (the proud parents) were married... Little Annabelle is not one to share a stage, so despite 3 other babies being baptized, she was the only one who screamed at moments of attention to ensure we all noticed & remembered her... I was pleased as punch... Am sure her 21st will happen tomorrow... In this picture she is checking out young Harry "Kyle" Neil - who's virginity she will steal in circa 2021...

April 15, 2006: San Diego - What would be the worst possible time for a family to suffer a horrible stomach virus that makes you spend a couple of days revisiting earlier meals in a new impressionist fashion? Yep - your wedding day... Vanessa, myself, and pretty much everyone else, stayed and had the reception anyway - and the bride managed to show up for an hour or so too, to say hi... before returning to bed... I still don't know if they're married yet... But a big hello to Noah & Niki anyway... Was a "wedding" we'll never forget - that's for sure...

April 14-16, 2006: While in San Diego, I got to meet Lisa's best friend Leah who lives in Man DIego and works in booze... Women are outnumbered 10 to 1 here... all those whining Sydney women reading this should just get on a plane and soak up the pheromones... btw Leah is way cool - and has some working knowledge of Oz through a semester at QUT... Her flatmate works for the FBI - & was obviously cool too (points from the Immigration authorities reading this assured)

March 31, 2006: We came, we saw, we kicked Korean Karaoke's ass... Thanks to those that did make it out - you were superb.. some exceptional talents hidden away in the cubicles of New York... I think my own versions of Guns'n'Roses "Patience" & "Australian in New York" (with very large apologies to Sting) were big hits, as was M&L's duet of "Endless Love" (Lionel was rolling in his grave somewhere... what - he isn't dead?)... "Girls just wanna have fun" by all the girls... Shout out to Francois & the devilish frenchmen... Bailey & Flattie... Tracey & Mark all the way from Long Island... Kat & girl crew... Dan promised Travolta - but the night ended too soon... Mel, Penny & Kylie helped fly the aussie flag... Late arrivals much appreciated from Lea & friends... If you weren't there, well you missed out...

Mar 24-28, 2006: Flummoxed by his continued ability to look slim, I relished the Return of the Erby... but this time he raised the stakes by bringing the real power of the household - Big P (Petra)... a fantastic few encounters with our stomachs being the main beneficiaries... Yes when Spencer, Marcus & Charlotte are left behind - it's time for some Asia de Cuba, Mainland, The Hudson Hotel Bar... It just goes on & on... Great to see you Erbmeisters... 24 March, 2006: Went to dinner with my very good friend Bailey & her parents... Her mum is of course Dale (ex-ECD of Euro RSCG Sydney) Rhode's sister... could tell from the family resemblance - they're all over 6 feet tall! They grow some tall timber in South Africa... Had a great dinner at Shun Lee West - dim sum opposite the Lincoln Center... Great meal, great people... Until next time...

March 16, 2006: Haven't seen Marian in ages - so when the invitation came through to go to the JWT launch party for the new reality show "American Inventor" that featured a JWT creative as one of the judges - I couldn't resist... Especially as JWT & Euro RSCG are currently competing on the Reckitt Benckiser business... So I got to meet all their top management, drink their alcohol, eat their food, ogle their women, and hop a plane 3 days later to the UK to compete over business... Superb... P.S. The show has turned out to be absolute toilet... yet draws a huge audience...
